Capitol Chat - Capital Public Radio's Capitol Bureau Chief Ben Adler debriefs California's primary election in this week's Capitol Chat.

Ruthie Bolton - Sacramento's Hall of Famer, Olympic Gold Medalist and Monarchs star Ruthie Bolton has released her biography The Ride of a Lifetime and she'll be signing books from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Dimple Records in Citrus Heights Thursday night.

Ashley Dawn Mortensen - The Sacramento actress, Ashley Dawn Mortensen, is the understudy for "Elphaba the Wicked Witch"in the touring production of "Wicked", which is playing at the California Musical Theatre in Sacramento through June 17th. The musical is told from the perspective of the witches of the Land of Oz and Elphaba Thropp, the misunderstood girl with emerald-green skin, and Galinda, later Glinda, the beautiful, ambitious and popular blonde. Wicked tells the story in which these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch of the North while struggling through opposing personalities and viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest, reactions to the Wizard's corrupt government, and, ultimately, Elphaba's public fall from grace.

Sound Advice: Classical - Capital Public Radio's classical morning host Kent Teeters returns to Sound Advice with new and electrying new selections. We'll listen to two recent recordings that will take you coast to coast: a string orchestra created by a brilliant group of East Coast musicians, and a West Coast orchestra that serves at the house band for the oldest professional ballet company in America. Some of the new recordings we'll listen to:

2. Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony in c minor
